Terms of Use
Plain-language terms for using TermZ.
Last updated: July 7, 2026
1. License to use
TermZ is proprietary software offered free of charge — it is not open source. Subject to these terms, you're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the TermZ desktop application for personal or commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Please don't resell or redistribute the software, or decompile or reverse-engineer it except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
The core app is free today. Optional premium features and add-ons may be offered in the future under separate terms; that won't retroactively remove your ability to use the free app.
2. No warranty
TermZ is provided "AS IS", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk, including for the handling of passwords and other sensitive data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from its use.
3. Early release (beta)
TermZ is pre-1.0 software under active development. Features, behavior, and data formats may change between releases, and it has not undergone a formal third-party security audit. Do not rely on it as the sole store for critical secrets, and keep your own backups.
4. Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use TermZ, including complying with applicable laws and only connecting to systems you are authorized to access.
5. Trademarks
"TermZ", the TermZ logo, and the software itself are the property of the project. Please don't use the TermZ name or marks in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without permission.
6. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the project evolves; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Questions? [email protected].
